These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and InsurePet.ca (“InsurePet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the InsurePet.ca website and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

InsurePet.ca is an independent online comparison and information platform that allows users to compare pet insurance products offered by participating third-party insurance carriers operating in Canada.

InsurePet.ca is not:

• A licensed insurance provider, broker, agent, or adjuster.
• A party to any insurance contract between you and a carrier.
• A provider of insurance advice, financial advice, or legal advice of any kind.

All insurance products displayed on InsurePet.ca are offered, underwritten, administered, and provided directly by the listed insurance carriers. InsurePet.ca acts solely as a marketing and comparison intermediary.

InsurePet.ca is intended for use by residents of Canada, excluding the province of Quebec. InsurePet.ca does not currently serve Quebec residents and is not registered or authorised under Quebec insurance distribution law. If you are a resident of Quebec, you must not use this Service.

InsurePet.ca makes no representation that the Service or the insurance products shown are available or appropriate for use in any jurisdiction outside of Canada (excluding Quebec).

InsurePet.ca makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information displayed on this site is accurate and up to date. However:

• Cost estimates are approximations only. Monthly pricing shown represents estimated ranges based on typical rates and general inputs. They do not constitute a binding insurance quote, offer, or commitment by any carrier.
• Coverage details may change. Carrier products, coverage terms, exclusions, pricing, and availability are subject to change at any time without notice. Always obtain a formal quote and review the policy wording directly from the carrier before purchasing.
• Comparison rankings are algorithmic. Fit scores and rankings are generated by InsurePet's proprietary algorithm based on the information you provide. They are intended as a starting point for your research, not as a substitute for professional insurance advice.

InsurePet.ca expressly disclaims any liability arising from reliance on the information provided on this site.

InsurePet.ca participates in affiliate marketing programmes with certain insurance carriers. When you click a “Get Quote” or similar button and subsequently purchase an insurance policy, InsurePet.ca may receive a referral commission from the carrier. This compensation:

• Is paid by the carrier, not by you.
• Does not affect the price you pay for your policy.
• May influence the order or prominence of carrier listings on some pages, although we strive to ensure our primary ranking algorithm is based on fit for your pet's profile.

Not all carriers listed on InsurePet.ca have formal affiliate arrangements. Some are included for completeness and comparison purposes only.

Nothing on InsurePet.ca constitutes insurance advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to purchase any specific insurance product. The information provided is for general informational purposes only.

You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any insurance product for your needs. We strongly recommend that you review policy documents carefully, ask carriers about any exclusions or limitations, and consider consulting a licensed insurance broker if you require personalised advice.

By using the Service, you agree that you will not:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in the quote form or in any communication with InsurePet.ca.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal or provincial law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or related systems.
• Scrape, copy, reproduce, or redistribute content from InsurePet.ca without written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service.

All content on InsurePet.ca, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, comparison data, and software, is the property of InsurePet.ca or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content without the prior written consent of InsurePet.ca.

Carrier names, logos, and trademarks displayed on InsurePet.ca are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and comparison purposes.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

InsurePet.ca does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. InsurePet.ca does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any pricing, coverage, or carrier information displayed.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INSUREPET.CA AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Reliance on any information provided on this site.
• Any insurance coverage gaps, denials, or disputes with carriers.
• Errors or omissions in pricing, coverage, or carrier information.
• Interruption or unavailability of the Service.

In jurisdictions where limitation of liability for consequential damages is not permitted, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. In no event shall InsurePet.ca's total liability to you exceed CAD $100.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InsurePet.ca and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any information you submit through the Service.

InsurePet.ca contains links to third-party carrier and affiliate websites. InsurePet.ca has no control over the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. The inclusion of a link does not constitute an endorsement. InsurePet.ca is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of any third-party site.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our privacy practices as described therein.

InsurePet.ca reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice or liability. We also reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the Service following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. You waive any objection to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and InsurePet.ca with respect to your use of the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and understandings.
